Am running through the same routine myself: staying in SBY, MD for the winter, and want the hose to be available (even though, could live on the internal tank)
Have had a couple of conversations: 1; with an owner thats done it is to wrap the hose in aluminum foil, then spiral wrap the tape, then cover with the sponge tube.
Next answer was from FMCA tech help, said why not put the hose into an electrical conduit, then wrap the conduit with tape, and then the insulation..... seems like extra work there, but does save the aluminum foil action.....
Haven't decided which way to go yet, but am leaning towards the conduit, even with the extra weight and cubage of the finished product for storage.
Let me know how you come along.
