While the bus runs good, and meets your requirements, financing is going to be difficult through traditional lenders. They want to finance conversions only. Especially since the bus is devoid of seats, it is no longer a passenger bus, nor is it a conversion, but only a shell. You may try personal line-of-credit with your bank, which is better anyway, since your payments go down as your balance does.
Without knowing much more than you've described, I wouldn't pay more than $6500.00 for the bus in good shape, but more like $2500.00 - $5500.00 for an average shape 4106.
With MCI-8's now in the $8500.00 - $12,500.00 range, it is hard to justify more than the low-end price I gave you.
In the end, though, it is worth what you are willing to pay!
