I just purchased an RV and when I picked it up the dealer gave me a plug converter to make the RV plug able to plug into a regular house 110 receptacle. Is there any reason I cannot use this adaptor to plug my RV into my generator and run the A/C. The generator has 4 110 receptacles and is 5500 watt.
It will be fine on your generator if it is 5500 watts, I use my A/C on a 6000 watt generator and it gives me no problem. A standard house receptacle is only a 15 amp breaker. If you plug it in there, chances are you will keep tripping the breaker. You need a 20 amp or more. This is why campgrounds have 30 amp or more
