Valuing of a PD-4106 by Shawn Godin
Post New Message I'm new to the RV/bus conversion world. I'm presently looking seriously at a 1965 PD-4106 for this. It has an 8v-71, spicer 4spd, pwr steering and hyd assist clutch. It's just a shell, no seats, or interior at all just the floor and drivers seat...and whats left of the toilet. Overall, it looks to be in pretty good shape body wise all the doors and latches work. Brakes are good and the engine purrs like a kitten and I saw more smoke coming from the end of my cigarette than from the tailpipe. It made about 60psi air at idle within 2-3 minutes (roughly...I wasn't really timing it too closely). In my amateur (bus)opinion and my opinion as an aircraft mechanic, she looks to be in great shape.
Now for the first hurdle...financing! After wiping the drool from my lips I made several calls and did online research and can't find anyone to give me a "book" or fair market value on this so I can borrow against it as collateral. Anyone have any advice??
