Preferred RV Sales Roy 6-20-03
Just a suggestion that anyone considering a purchase from Preferred RV Sales in Leesburg, FL first call the FL dept of motor vehicles @ 352 732 1267 to ask about complaints and their status as a dealer.
Re: Preferred RV Sales Maria 8-28-03
My parents had a problem with them and now have 2 loans to pay off. They traded a motorhome and they pocketed the money that was suppose to pay off the 1st loan. They also took the money my parents paid for an extended warranty that they now don't have.DON"T trust this business. There are more people out there with the same complaint.
Re: Preferred RV Sales June 11-6-03
I'm a victim from Georgia. We closed them down, but only after I called everyone I could think of and DA got enough complaints. Still trying to get money or payoff. Roy is right. Bank is at least speaking with me now. I'm their worse nightmare so they'd best not drag it out. Trying to get criminal charges going here.

RV Station, in Colbert Okla. is a ill ran RV center. The manager told me they did't mess with recalls. I thought, what kind of dealership is this!
Re: Preferred RV Sales Roy Beard 9-25-03
If you contact me offline I may have some news for you. These guys were arrested for criminal fraud and are currently out on bail. Their case has been delayed for 2 years. If we speak together we may get some action from the states atty. I heard that they may have filed for bankruptcy today.

I GOT MY MONEY BACK !!!
If Preferred RV arranged your financing and if your retail installment sales contract includes this:
Notice: ANY HOLDER OF THIS CONSUMER CREDIT CONTRACT IS SUBJECT TO ALL CLAIMS AND DEFENSES WHICH THE DEBTOR COULD ASSERT AGAINST THE SELLER OF GOODS OR SERVICES OBTAINED PURSANT HERETO OR WITH THE PROCEEDS HEREOF. RECOVERY HEREUNDER BY THE DEBTOR SHALL NOT EXCEED AMOUNTS PAID BY THE DEBTOR HEREUNDER.
Your recourse is with your bank. Notify them that you wish to recind the contract or have them arrange to pay off any other debts due.
It worked for me !!!
I am not a lawyer, but I can be a real headache just like one.

Re: Preferred RV Sales gary kaalberg 10-26-03
These crooks basically stole our rv and the state of florida is letting them get away with it.where is consumer protection here in the sunshine state?you can contact us at 321-631-7087
Re: Preferred RV Sales Roy Beard 11-1-03
The real problem here is Brad King.
He is the state attorney for that circut and he is not interested in protecting us. He is an elected official and the Governor and Senator say they cannot get involved because he is elected.

I have contacted all revelant agencies. MVA want's to help but have twice been overturned by a judge. Leesburg Police are fed up with the lack of action by King's office. They claim to have referred 50 + cases of fraud. North Carolina and Georgia have shut them down (they care about their citizens) They are out on bail in Florida and have been since 2001. I guess the only time we will see action is at election time.
Re: Preferred RV Sales Bud 11-5-03
I cancelled my 3-year extended warranty with Preferred RV, after my motorhome was totaled last summer - 18 months, 21,500 miles remaining on the contract. A portion was refunded by National Warranty of Florida with difficulty. I have been unable to get the remainder ($360) from Preferred RV, even after a 110-mile trip up there. I'll never get suckered into another extended warranty. I learned the RV seller gets almost $1000 sales commision out of the $2300! Is that a money maker or isn't it? I'm contacting everyone I can about these crooks.
Re: Preferred RV Sales Roy Beard 11-17-03
Seems the state of Florida could care less about closing these people down. Dealer licensing told me they are entering into an agreement with Preferred RV to allow them to remain in business until at least year end. This in spite of the fact that they are out on bail for fraud and continue to steal from their customers. MVA has over 50 complaints but does nothing.
