Re: Touring South Africans by ZG
Post New Message Hello from the States!

Since you didn't give any information regarding your starting point, I will assume it is on the East Coast, flying into New York. (If you are flying into Houston, Texas, or Los Angeles, California, then you can change the starting point as needed).

Having a mother, and most of my family from Cape Town and Johannesburg, I have found that, while visiting, California is their favorite (perhaps because La Jolla, California is very similar to the Cape).

At any rate, since you will be holding to a budget, the State parks may be a good starting point for you. You can begin investigating the parks on your route by going to http://data2.itc.nps.gov/parksearch/state/usamap.cfm and clicking on the state you are starting from. This site also gives you very detailed pages of the areas, and the amenities provided in the parks.

How exciting for you to travel for such a long time in the States! You will have a wonderful time!

I'll watch this post to see what other questions you come up with.

Oh, you may want to check this site's Classifieds and Link Directory for Class C RVs and campground listings. The links are at the top of this page...

Regards,

ZG
