I agree with Glenn Freshour, but I'll go 1 step further. Diesels have become much more quiet and REFINED lately (Particularly Duramax, Chevy is in my blood!) New diesels put out 650+ lb/ft torque, and can be modified to make MUCH more, while still making superior fuel economy. However, if serious power, and many miles aren't part of equation, it may be cheaper to buy gas. Just my 2cents, if cost is no issue, treat yourself to a Duramax Diesel ;) Also noteworthy, biodiesel can be made out of used cooking oil for about $.80/Gallon! |
