Can you look at this site http://junkcampers.com and tell us if you have had
previous or current problems with
a THOR/Dutchmen product? We need your help to get the government to
regulate the RV industry.
Very concerned about the axle problem.
Thanks. fchief@usit.net
I would like to know whether or not you have had any complaints about Big Sky Montana 5th wheel trailers. We have a 2002 rear kitchen, 3 slide 3295? We just got it out of the shop (5th time)since last June. This time they kept it, got some of the problems repaired, some not repaired. My husband and I are both very frustrated and at the end of our ropes. I would appreciate any feedback available. Thank you.
I purchased a new 2004 Thor/Dutchman 28BH 5th. Wheel Trailer in August 2003.
We have had 11 tires and and a new set of backing plates on the front axle. They were put in backward and the factory! I'm asking for all new axles since they are so far out of line and have lost my brakes twice. Major problems on two of three trips. Dealer in Iowa said this is not uncomon that they are assembled backward. Dutchman is fighting with Lippert who built the trailer, but ALKO is responsible for the bad axles!
I have lost confidence in such a new unit to have two complete axle-brake breadkdowns in in 2200 miles! I'm fighting with the dealer tomorrrow over wether they will replace the axles on not! Could use any info if this is a common problem with Thor/Dutchman brake/axle units!
We too are having an axle problem with our 2004 dutchman. They have been mounted on the trailer frame out of a line. We have gone through tires like some people go through gas. The trailer is very dangerous to tow. We are trying to get the issue resolved by dutchman or alco since we have only 1800 miles on the trailer. Have you had any luck? Please let me know. I would like to know what kind of fight I am going to have on my hands when this gets down to nitty gritty of who is going to fix or pay for this manufacturer defect.
