I purchased a new 2004 Thor/Dutchman 28BH 5th. Wheel Trailer in August 2003.
We have had 11 tires and and a new set of backing plates on the front axle. They were put in backward and the factory! I'm asking for all new axles since they are so far out of line and have lost my brakes twice. Major problems on two of three trips. Dealer in Iowa said this is not uncomon that they are assembled backward. Dutchman is fighting with Lippert who built the trailer, but ALKO is responsible for the bad axles!
I have lost confidence in such a new unit to have two complete axle-brake breadkdowns in in 2200 miles! I'm fighting with the dealer tomorrrow over wether they will replace the axles on not! Could use any info if this is a common problem with Thor/Dutchman brake/axle units! |
