I got stopped by a police officer, who gave me a citation for driving on a highway in a former school bus, which does have nothing on it that says SCHOOL BUS, but is yellow.
To my surprise he gave me a lesson about a law, which does not apply to my bus, since it was neither purchased in the state of Arizona nor from the state of Arizona or an official representation of the state of Arizona. I bought my bus in Michigan from a private person. The bus is registered as a motorhome and was accordingly licensed in the state of Arizona, where I live.
No, the big question is there a law which applies to the US and says, that no (former school) bus can be yellow?
To all the folks, who might think children could mix up my bus with a real school bus: I have no insignia saying School Bus on the bus, but a long horn skull with horns on the hood.
All the windows with the eception of the windshield, door windows and the driver's window are tinted black.
Every information is greatly appreciated. Court Date May 21st 2003 ;-)
Will be aquiring 2 late model either prevost or van hools for youth/high school and church sports teams and boosters, field trips, and the local colleges staffs, admin and department groups in gainesville and north central florida areas. as well as possible pro football and corporate charters and jaunts as that phase develops. obviously much of the college and pro and some of the high school charters are 3 and 4 day weekend work. In season, the high schools and colleges also require single full day trips. in the summer, the various travel and aau team sports and tour groups, ski or sightseeing charters,...would be a week or so at a time. in process of developing a short list of 4 or 5 drivers so each can drive their routes of preference or change up/alternate so as to fit thier personal schedules or lifestyles, travel, income needs,... above average pay and working conditions in a very nice and beautiful community. stringent and regular background, drug,...testing and work histories required. reply back with any questions, work and pay histories and current goal/rate, and work frequencies desired.
A friend of mine was stopped and given a warning in Mississippi for transporting workers from the shipyard in Mississippi to Alabama because his bus was yellow.
