I bought an extened warranty for my 03 motorhome last year. Recently, the hydraulic line to the RR leveling jack ruptured midspan. American will not cover item because it is being called a hydraulic "hose" and they do not cover hoses: "Excluded items....batteries, belts, HOSES, wipers, etc." (I think these excluded items are in reference to chassis components) because apparently they will cover fresh water LINES. By the way, the warranty does claim to cover "LEVELING SYSTEMS". When I discussed this with their rep on the phone, he was extremely rude and defensive. I asked the rep what the definition of a line was compared to hose and he said the hose was made out of rubber or plastic and a line was metal. This is why they are not covering repair, yet they will cover "plastic lines" on the fresh water system.
BE AWARE....these guys will twist words and definitions to NOT PAY for repairs!!
I am contacting the issuing dealer for the contract to get a refund on the unused portion of my contract today!!
