Long-time hot shot driver and commercial truck driver. I recently graduated from SLU in Construction Management and now have a career position as a project manager in Gonzales. I know a few guys that were or are currently doing the work. I would like to get some information on pulling the trailers as basically a weekend deal to supplement my income. Any further details would be greatly appreciated. I thank you in advance for your time.

We have several companies hiring drivers to haul FEMA trailers in the Baton Rouge area. Most are short hauls, some long (Indiana, etc.) If you want to sign up with these companies you will need the following: at least 3/4 ton truck, 1 million commercial liability insurance & 30,000 cargo; various safety equipment like orange vest, reflective triangles, firstaid kit, wet cell battery, etc. This is not a complete list but will give you an idea of what is needed. If you want more info email me or call 225-664-8008. We have 2 queensize beds for rent and a 2 bed camper on our property. Rent includes food and laundry.

I live in ashland ky and i see all kinds of trailers without decals and wondered about them so i just asked and was told that fema was moving the trailers. i know all about them i have slept in them around new orleans after katrina. I work for pike electric we spent about 3 months in the southern area. still employed but have truck and father with 20 years of over the road trucking off on partial disiblity so this would be a god send. would like chance to haul trailers
