Oxygen sensors are in the exhaust system. I don't know exactly where yours is. It is screwed into the exhaust manifold. That is the exhaust pipe on the engine. It will have a wire or thin rubber tube that looks like a wire that is connected to another "sensor" box. It looks something like a spark plug. You can remove it with a socket wrench. With the engine COLD use some WD 40 or other lubricant to free its threads. Be sure to mark where the wire has been removed from. Clean the luricant from the exhaust pipe and install the new one. There is a special socket you can purchase to install the sensor but with careful handling you can install it with a box wrench. If you use a socket wrench to install it you may damage the connector on the sensor. |
