Generator Tina 1-29-07
What size of a generator do we need for a class c, 26 foot, 1985 motorhome.
Re: Generator ken 1-29-07
Will you be running a/c, microwave, t.v. ect.....

Take the power draw of the appliances and add them up and start from there. If you go with one that is to small it will keep kicking out. If you go with a large one other friends can piggy back off of it if you are out where there is no power. It comes down to how much money do you want spend.
Re: Generator Single Pin 7-11-07
AC takes 1400-2000watts
Refrig 600-1000 watts
Microwave 100-1500
Electric water heater 100-1500
TV 200-600
Coffee percolator 550-750
You won't be using all of those at the same time, but 1 or 2 at the same time(TV and AC= 1600 to 2600 watts. A basic size would be about 4000 watts.
