Mystery Caulking Walt 9-4-06
I have an 1986 Fleetwood Jamboree (Class C) motorhome which as an aluminum roof. There is what looks like flow on caulking on the roof joints. This stuff has been there at least since ’93 when I bought the unit. It could be the same stuff Fleetwook used to do the original caulking. Where it is rather thick it is skinned over and looks dirty white but inside it is beige, still soft as chewing gum and very sticky even after years of exposure. By the look of it there was no shrinkage after it was applied. Some of the thinner areas appear to be hardening and need replacement. I would like to use the same caulking but have no idea of what it is. It is not C-10 Flow Seal, at least not the stuff that is now sold with that name.
