Hello,
I just purchased a 1977 Ford Roll-a-Long.
First time RV'r just wanted to try it out for little money. cant wait for our first local test run.
Question:
Under the the dash is a toggle switch labled main or aux. I assume it for the house battery system...but, I can only find 2 batteries under the hood. Starter and house battery. should I have a second house battery someplace?
I HAVE A 1980 28 FT ROLL A LONG ON LEFT SIDE OF STEERING WHEEL UNDER DASH I HAVE A ROCKER SWITCH,LABLED MAIN AUX, ITS WIRED INTO A ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP MOUNTED ON THR LEFT REAR FRAME RAIL,WHEN I BOUGHT THE MOTOR HOME I HAD TROUBLE GOING UP STEEP GRADES 30 MPH,I FOUND THE PUMP ON FRAME RAIL FORWARD OF REAR TIRES,TRACED WIRING TO THIS SWITCH UNDER DASH,ENGUAGE FUEL PUMP,TOOK GRADE 70 MPH +
Dude, same thing on mone. I couldn't find a new carb anywhere in US, so rebuilt old one and had to do a lot of rigging and inventing as it was toast. Meanwhile my tech found this same fuel pump thing, Did you have to do anything to it to make it work? Sometimes if it sits overnight, there is no gas in the carb and it takes quite a while to get it started. Any suggestions? Thanks and good luck with yours!
