Is it worth it? David 10-5-05
Have a chance to buy a '78 American Clipper/fleetwood on Dodge Sportsman - 21'. 41,000 on odometer. Seems in good condition, minor sealant on the roof. No AC. Wants $6,500 for it.

Is this reasonable for one so old, or completely off the map?

Thanx

David

What shape is everything in. How much rust on metal parts that are steel? Is there any Body damage? NO AC is bad. Ask him to lower price. Also how is the steering parts? This can make or break a motorhome. If you can't get parts then it isn't worth it. Also it can be expensive as I have learned from experience. But A Dodge sportsman chassis is easy to get parts for. I just purchased a 1977 LazyDaze for 3 grand with AC. So The price is a little High.
Good Luck Lee
