I am planning to get a Toyota RV but I'm not sure if I should go with the 22R 4 cylinder or the V6. If you have knowledge on their power and miles per gallon comparison please respond, it will help me in my decision.
Thanks,
Roman
Was it the 4 or 6 that you had and got 14-16 MPG? At what speed were you able to get that milage? Was that standard or automatic. I have been leaning twards getting a 4 with a standard so all the input I get will help me decide if that is wise.
Thanks,
Roman
I had one till a fire recently. You only want one with fuel injection and you only want a V6 or you won't be going up any hills without a struggle. I was getting 14-16 mpg. I love the little thing, it was great. 100% destroyed. Since gas has gone up people are over charging for these little units. Beware when you buy
I am on my second Toyota four cylinder MH after going for a class A. I went cross country with the first one. Yes, it is a bit of a slug. However, the four is "bullet proof" I got 18 MPG on the highway. Friends with the six got 15 MPG. If your not going far the four is okay. The carburetor four is hard to start after it stands as the gas drains back.
I have a 1985 toyota sunland express, 22re ingin, auto w/overdrive, the 4cyl engin does very well for me, 18mpg up or down hill, 66000 mi,might be instered in selling, thanks, gene
I've got an '83 with a 4 cyl- 4 speed, sure it's a slug....but it's a little truck hauling a big load. Straight to the point....you're on vacation....who cares how fast it goes? Just put along at 55, enjoy the scenery. I personally like the 4 cyl, wouldn't mind a 5th gear though to let the engine spin at a lower rpm. Off point....my uncle looked at mine and said
"it looks like a doghouse humping a chiuaha".
