My Toyota AE110 has been having a problem with losing power and producing a ticking (Noise) sound from the distributor. I was consuming a lot of fuel for a 1.5 CC car. My mechanic has tried everything adjusting the settings in the distributor to give it more power. But the effect is that the sound grows louder, the reverse is also true that when the adjustment are done to remove the noise completely the car losses power. What is wroung with my car and what can be done to bring it back to its normal state.
