Please help us. We bought a 1984 Le Sharo Itasca with a new leisure battery but now that we need to replace it we just cannot get at it! Is there an easy way to get at the battery? We only got a photocopy of the manual and there's no diagram, it just says the battery is under the cab under the passenger seat well!! We have tried getting under the van and loosened any nuts we could find but no sign of the leisure battery. Please help!!!

Look under the drivers side door area. Between the door and wwhere you add gas. Be careful you may want to use a jack to hold the plate while you unscrew it so it doesn't come down on you.
I have an 85, my battery is under the passanger seat, there are 4 bolts, two on each side on the bottom edge of the battery box. Take out the for bolts and slide the box side ways and it drops to the ground. Be carefull. You may need to lift the RV a little in order to get the battery out from under the RV. The hard part is picking up the new battery and sliding it into place. Good Luck.
