Re: Coachmen Julius Rosen 5-17-01
Dear Julius

What do you really expect - you are driving 12,000 + pounds.!

I tow a 5000 trailer with a 5500 pound explorer and only get 8.8 - 11 on highway at 55 mph.

Give it 1,000 miles to break in and remember to change oil at 500+ miles to bet best mileage maybe 10 MPG.

That is why so many deisel owners now .

Diesel get 12 + and it costs less per gallon .

I got good news & bad news. The bad news is that you probably won't get any better mileage. The good news is that I have '99 31' Coachmen Class C with the Ford V-10 and pull a Jeep Wranger - and get about the same mileage as you. When you play - you gotta pay!

I have a 98 Coachmen Class C 31" and get 8 - 8.6 when towing a Saturn. I don't drive over 60 mph, I use AMS oil 0-30 synthetic oil and I installed a K & N air filter.
