I have a 87 21ft Toyota Sunraider with the 4 cyl engine and have took it on a 6000 mile trip with careful records on mileage. I obtained 13 mph consistently at express way speeds of 60-65 and 15 mph at lower off expressway cruising. In town seems to be an average between those two numbers. With AC on it doesn't get over 13 mph. I have no trouble with mountains. I have the overdrive transmission. I would expect the V6 to give better performance at express way speeds but not much better mileage, but would like to know what you find out.
