Re: Should I buy Lesharo? by John Mikkelsen
Post New Message I had a 1988 model. Generally I liked the rig. It had the gas Renault engine in it. I was told to stay away from the diesel model as it had a lot of porblems. It was underpowered but I didn't find that to be a real problem. In the Adirondacks I could climb those hills at about 40 mph; sometimes having to shift down. The unit was 12 years old when I got it, and it needed a lot of work which was not apparent at the time I got it. We never used the shower. It seemed too inconvenient. We used the campground facilities. I came close to ruining the engine when the catalytic converter fell apart internally and blocked the exhaust. The unit seemed to me to be cheaply made like most Winnebago products. They seem to be built by cost accountants rather than engineers. I most liked the size, and the fact it would park anywhere.
