A neighbor wants to sell me a Toyota
Dophin. It's only a four cylinder.
Will that be enough power. It has low mileage. Do these rv's hold up?

The best 4 cylinder I think on this kind of RV is the one 22RE fuel injected 4 cylinder. This engine is so reliable. It's not a speed demon, but will get you with peace of mind from A to B. Mine gets around 15 to 16 hiway.

A Bulletproof engine, and runs cool in extreme heat if the cooling system is in decent shape. I do a lot of desert running above 100 degrees F. I now have 115,000 miles on mine, it still hums along.
But as Fred said: not a speed demon. I get 14mpg on the flats with no A.C., down to 10mpg with the front A.C. and the generator running the roof A.C.
Make sure you are getting the one ton full floating axle on the back. The earlier (pre 87) rigid half ton axle has shown to be problematic.
If the unit has been parked, and/or has more than 30,000 miles, I'd pull the rear axle bearings, and front wheel bearings and grease them. Also, 22R valves TIGHTEN as they seat, so make sure the valves are not too tight.
