|1986 Toyota Transmission||donnyboy1||4-16-03|
|I have a 1986 Conquest MH that has developed transmission problem after 98K+ mi. It has the 22RE 4cyl and is rated 1 ton, I need to get transmission repaired & need reliable source to do repairs (overhaul) and not pay excessively as it still a truck even though it has motorhome status, Ilive in Carmichael, CA. 95608 and am unsure of the craftsmanship available in my area.|
Any feedback is greatly appreciated

|One of the best sources of transmission repair would be the CHP. they use and have theirs repaired more than most anyone else. they put on millions of miles on their cars. they should be able to refer you to a very good place.|

|I am looking for a Toyota RV, but I own 3 Toyota trucks. I ONLY send my transmissions to Marlin @ Marlin Crawler in Fresno, CA. |
Most recently, he rebuilt one of my 22RTE (turbo) truck's trannys.
I just dropped off another one of my trucks to him last week, 7/9/03 for MAJOR upgrades (new engine, new turbo, new transfercase, new flat bed, new F&R axles, lift, roll cage, intercooler, etc). He will also be rebuilding the tranny on this truck.
I can't recommend anyone more trustworthy and knowledgeable. Give him a call and you'll understand. When he rebuilt the first transmission, he took a look at the serial# and off the top of his head, he knew within 1 day of when it was manufactured.
Tell him Marco with the King Cab toyota sent you.
BTW, he is always busy, so be patient.
His info is at www.marlincrawler.com
