I am thinking of buying an Itasca Phasar 1987 wich has 59,000 miles. It seems to be in good condition and all regular maintenance has been done. The seller is asking 16,000$ ( canadian money ) for it. Is it a good deal ?

What are the questions I should ask ? What should I be looking for ?

What kind of motor is in that RV ? Is it a Gm or Ford or what ?

Please get back to me as soon as possible. Thank you very much !!

My girlfriend has a "Phaayzaarrr" as she pronounces it so dramatically, 1986. The ignition key is different to the door key I'm afraid.

I have an Itasca Phasar with the 2.2 gas engine and automatic transmission. It's a great motor home, and will give one much fun if it's taken care of. Mine is A-1 as I've kept her tuned up. I also made some changes that help to keep the engine running at the right temperature. It only has 100 horsepower and needs to have premium gasoline, but 23 miles per gallon is worth the extra fuel cost. Don't expect to cruise uphill any better than a big 18-wheeler with a heavy trailer. The Phasar slows down going uphill, but again it's a reasonable price to pay for the relatively high gas mileage.
