|Hi, I have bought a 1986 Toyota Hilux that needs TLC and repairs. The indicators dont work and apparently they short circuit when the old owner tried to fix them. Can you please let me know how to repair them and the horn too. Thanku|

|1st remove all the bulbs, it is a common short issue when the wrong bulb is used. If that doesn't fix it:|
2nd Buy a bunch of fuses, make sure you use a value lower or the same as rated, we know there is a problem and we will be blowing them by the handfull.
Unplug the wiring under the steering colum. Put a fuse in. If the issue goes away the problem is ether in the colum or down stream from it. You will need to power the wiring from the colum plug to the lights to see if it is. Some systems have two plugs for the signals, split into power in and power out. Either way you work on it until you trace the issue.
From there eliminate until you locate and repair the short.
The above proceedure is basic trouble shooting
