My 1978 Dodge class C is built on an F40 model chassis per the doorframe tag. But when I try to order parts such as shocks etc, I have never seen F40 listed as model. Does anyone know if the F40 is equavalent to something else like the B300, B350 or such? The vehicle tag lists the weight as 10,400 pounds. I badly need new shocks and am trying to figure out what good quality shock will fit on the model. Thanks
I have a 78 Dodge Xplorer 272 that has the same information on the door frame tag. I've been trying to find some kind of a manual for this too. If you find out anything about what type of a chassis this is actually built on please drop me an email. Thanks.
BTW, I have a low speed vibration problem that I've not been able to cure by replacing the carrier barrier, u joints, checking the drive shaft for balance and replacing the tires. If you have any suggestions as to what else to check I would appreciate it.
Hi Ken i see you have problems with you r vin, ihave the same thing with mine and its a Jaco camper on it, after tring to get parts with no luck, just for the fun ov it, i called jaco and asked them when they get in a dodge motorhome chase do you chance the vin numbers and they said yes,
