Post New Message I bought a 2000 Coachmen 31ft w/6.8 V10 in July 08 with 17,000 mi from original owner. Have put approx. 2000 miles to date. We have replaced the computer, 4 coil packs, and now it is in for internal engine repairs. Looks like a burnt valve and leaking piston ring in the #1 and # 6 cylinders. Of course gas mileage and performance has been bad, not surprising. At this point I would not buy another Ford V10 having had this kind of trouble in a low mileage engine.
