Anyone know how of some extra nice/pretty campgrounds anywhere between the Quad cities and Des Moines off of Rt 80? Am willing to go 50 miles north/south of the freeway...Thanks

There is a very nice county park west of Montezuma 2 miles called Diamond Lake. Water-elec. Nice area just 8 miles off 80.

If your looking for a great out of the way place to rough it, try the Loess Hills Hideaway Cabins near Moorhead, Iowa. It's a great place to just relax, fish, and take in nature. Camp and RV sites also available. Call (712) 886-5003 for reservations and pricing. Very affordable!!
