Inherited ACI / NACO membership Lori Sanders 8-2-03
My dearly beloved mother-in-law is now with the Lord. She owned an ACI membership from way back. It included a deed to a campsite. From what I recall she said ACI was bought out by NACO. There was a class action law suit (or a threat of one) and somehow she was able to camp in 100's of different campgrounds for next to nothing. Someone once told us it was an "option 1 membership" and was valuable. Last year she was approached with an offer from NACO to somehow "upgrade" her membership. She refused because she would have to forfeit the right of a one time inheritance. (so I gather it is still a part of her estate) Can someone shed some light on what it is we have inherited? I'm reluctant to contact NACO with out some insider information first. She was very cautious whenever she dealt with them and seemed to have reason to believe they were not always upfront with her and not looking out for her best interest. Our favorite vacations were RV'ing with her and we are excited to hit the road with our own kids. Any guidance would be appreciated.
