The vin number plate on the Greyhound Bus is located on the dash to the right of the driver. Usually in line with the isle of the bus. It is a large acid etched brass, chrome platted and color back filled GM data plate. Nostalgic Reflections has the pattern and can custom make one for you providing the vehicle is 15 years old or older. They can be reached at..

I have a 1968 buick lesabre convertible. I can't locate a vehicle i.d. number that has more than 13 digits. Carfax requires a 17 digit vin #. I find the vin# on the dash driver side. Also where do i find a good site to verify whether the engine is an original match for the vehicle?

the vin plate on the frame in the right rear of the engine compartment has rusted and the numbers are illegible. did they put the number anywhere else on these busses?

I have a 19991 ford ranger it has been repainted and the only vin# is on the dash it matches the title but someone has put phillips screws in place of the rivets. ineed to find another location to verify this truck is legit or not.

I have a fleetmaster from 1947 too, and I had the same problem. The plate is very small and in order to restore the car, the painter took it off and lost it...I'm still waiting legalization for my chevy...
