MC-5A Rick Barter 8-12-07  
I am a new MC-5A owner and my entry door is not latching when I park the coach. It seems like it was working when I bought it but now the door is free to swing open. The air cylinder latch works when the coach is running. Any thoughts? Also any MC-5 owners near Tucson?

THE AIR LATCH DOES NOT WORK WHEN THE COACH IS TURNED OFF. IF YOU ARE REFERRING TO THE SLAM LATCH WHICH IS CONTROLLED BY THE BUTTON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FRONT OF THE COACH BELOW THE WINDSHIELD YOU WILL NEED TO CLOSE IT VERY QUICKLY AND HARD IN ORDER TO GET IT TO LOCK. IT MAY ALSO NEED TO BE ADJUSTED. ANOTHER METHOD TO GET THE SLAM LOCK CLOSED IS TO PUSH THE DOOR HANDLE CLOSED THRU DRIVERS OPEN WINDOW. IT SHOULD THEN OPEN BY PUSHING THE BUTTON QUICKLY. IF YOU TRY THIS METHOD MAKE SURE ONE OF THE EMEMRENCY WINDOWS IS OPEN SO YOU CAN GET IN IF IT DOESN'T WORK. YOU CAN GET AN OPERATORS MANUAL FROM MCI PARTS SERVICE AT 800 323 1290
