Im looking for a allison vs2 tranny, any help would be appreciated. thanks nuts dan i installed a v 730 allison to replace a vs-28 and lost about 10 miles an hour at top end work out your top end speed before changing it I sold my vs-28 to edmonton transit i had two of them if you like e mail me and i will contact them for you the other connection i have is nimco bus in new gersey ther on the net talk to nick he might be able to help good luck bus nut in canada

Why? Unless you are making an authentic restoration of an old coach you want a V730 Allison. Newer version of vs2-8, easier to find, works better.

700 series Allison- very strong. These are living with 8V92TA's!! Three speed with locking convertor, feels like a four speed. .85 overdrive in top gear gives a little extra top speed.
