Kudos on the board. I'll bet it helps a lot more people than is realized. I am the proud newbie owner of a 1965 GM 5302 that was last run over three years ago. my problem- neither battery cable has infinite resistance, but I hooked it up anyhow. When I short the solenoid, the starter spun but the bendix didn't engage. I disconnect the bus from the engine, power right to solenoid, lots of spark but no starter noise. I would like just to start thwe engine before passing judgement..Any replies? Dave
