What is the maximum hp output you can get from the 6v92, say if you just wanted to max it out, I was just wondering, not to worry about wearing it out..Just pushing it real hard say, till it dies,hehe..
Also what about conserving, what about cutting back the engine for longivity, kinda, from extreme to extreme??

They range from 277 hp minimal to 350 hp maximum (avg) from the factory, Some people have gotten more out of them with timing and injector changes. However most are in Transit buses with V-730 transmissions that are rated to 350 hp max. The 92 engines are tough and can take a lot of abuse but I wouldn't suggest running any Detroit on the ragged edge without a handy spare of the engine and transmission.
( Sorry about that "Mr.Conservative" gets the better of me sometimes. )

I have a 6v92 Detroit Diesel powering my 1989 Elite turbo pusher. The 40 foot coach is mounted on a Gillig chassis and has a GVH of over 38,000 lbs. The turbocharged 6V92 engine is rated at 350 hp and is coupled to a four speed Allison automatic. I was advised that 350 is as much as you should boost this engine, without a loss of life cycle durability and fuel economy. Fuel econimy is currently 6 to 8 MPG.
