Advice and Help for your vehicle from Older Fart pat young 3-4-06
Howdy folks

I am a high school teacher who runs a non-profit called the Wheelchair Project. I have driven overland from Fresno, CA to Central America 9 times, and have also driven extensively in Mexico just for fun.

I use school bus sales, and bus parts, to support my project. I got into buses in 1991 because they were big, diesel, usually well maintained by public money, and the price was better than a big truck.

So now after 20 years of misc driving and hauling, I know a lot about the machinery and will share what I know with whoever needs some free advice.

Yes, It would be nice if you bought a part or a widget eventually, but not essential. I offer help so I can make contact with folks. I am very dependable and 100% honest when it comes to machinery. It either works, or it don't. And you don’t have to buy something from me, not will I “steer” you towards my stuff. If somebody has a good bus, I will tell you to buy it, or help you figure out the goods and bads.

So if you need to know anything about diesel, buses, or machinery in general, just drop me a line. I started working on motor vehicles when I was 13 (little racing “quarter midgets“) have owned at least 125 buses, trucks, pickups, motorcycles, generators, forklifts, etc. and drove a tractor trailer for Uncle Sam in Germany for 2 years, and have LOTS of old timer mechanic friends. I guess I can say, “I been there”

OK have a good one

Hello, I appreciate your willingness to help. I'm a singin fool not a bus mechanic. I've worked extensively with runaway teens and can easier figure them out than the complicated bus i run.
The bus is a Canuck600 Canadian made by Western Flyer in '67 38' long and a fresh strong 8v71, 4speed. 12mpg

My question is about the air rides. When turned off, the bus will loose air from the entire left side first (takes three days) and evenually sag to that side, quite uncomfortable until the right side looses too, that takes about four days. How can I correct this? I'd like to make the left side hold as long as the right, or drop together. Where do I look? The chassis is all GM made, just a Canadian body.

Next and even more important. Where do I find 24volt lights and switches? Several people have said "it's easy" but our parts houses tell me I'm 50 years too late. Help!

Thank you.

Does a repair mannual exist? Inheited a 91 overland diesil motor coach. Have never driven one and were trying to get it started. First time turned key and hit the emerency start the engine turned over then nothing else. None of lights or gauges work when turn key now. The batteries for chassis and coach show to be charged. Any infro you can give on what we need to to get it started would be great. It was in used and set up in RV park one year ago.

We got a 1976 sportscoach motorhome with a dodge 440 engine in it. We have no manual or wiring schematics, etc. Could you please help us find one?
