MC8, MC9 headroom Big gar 12-25-99
Well guys its been awhile but I find the ol' bus bug biting again! Last one was an Eagle now I seem to fancy both the Eagle and the MCI. Having never owned one before and its been quite awhile since I was in an MCI, how is the headroom of the MCI 8 and 9. I didn't raise my Eagle roof (wish I had) but are the MCI's high enough that it's not needed to raise its roof? I'm 6' 1" tall and I don't want to have to walk around something hanging from the ceiling. If I should go with Eagle again I would raise the roof this time. What's the feeling out there on the MCI and do you need to raise the roof?

Hi Big gar,
I am probably partial, since I own a MC-8. I really like the MCI. Much less rust than Eagle. I have had the opportunity to see seveval MCI frames stripped at a bus conversion facility (Heartland Coach in Arcadia, FL.) I was impressed by the amount of stainless steel used in frame. MC-9 has about 3" more headroom than MC-8. My MC-8 is about 6'7" headroom. Hope this helps, Jack
