I drove cross country truck for over 20 years and have seen what a "sticks and staples" Winnebago, Southwind, etc does in an accident. Not pretty, course many of the owners won't care since they also got wrecked. That's why I did my own bus conversion. Because of money issues, I used a transit bus, which is a bit harder to convert because of having to create the tank, generator and storage underneath that a Greyhound type would have. But ironically, transits are also the strongest made to handle the daily riggers of in town start and stopping. Talk to other owners. If you do go with a sticks and staples, no more than 5 years old.
