MCI Frame Tubing Size Jay Geist 4-19-05
I am in the process of raising the roof on my MCI-9 and would like to know what size thickness, and type of steel the frame tubing between the windows is.
It looks like 1 3/4" square, so would you actually call it 2" square when purchasing the tubing?

Hi Jay. I can't answer your question, but I'm interested in talking with folks who have MCI 9 buses. I just bought a 1983 MCI 9 -- and in the process of dismantling the luggage racks and toilet. I don't plan on raising the roof, but I would like to take out the floor. I don't know anyone who's done that, and since it has a lot of steel, I'm wondering the best way to go about it. What are you doing with your floor?
Amelia
