My 4104 has a slow but steady drip of diesel from under the fuel compartment.
Construction appears to be the tank with some rubber sheet under it laying on a plywood sheet which is supported by the original support bars(rotten) plus six aluminum box tubes that have been added for additional support.
With the riveted sidewall construction of the coach, should this tank come out the side or the bottom?
Where can I get a replacement tank? I really don't need the 140 gal size presently installed.
Hi Wayne:
The dooe beside the fuel tank hinges on the top & the tank will be removed from the side of the coach.
We have several 4104's that we are scrapping for parts which still have the tanks in them. You can call us toll free at:1-888-262-2434.
I hope this helps!!!

Mine rotted out, too. you are correct in your description of the plywood base. i had the local sheet metal shop fab a steel one, about 12 gauge, do not use galvanized. a rectangular design will work. i increased my size to 200 gallons, you can do what you want easily. check the 't' brackets at the bottom which support the plywood, if rotted they should be replaced with hard aluminum. coat the tank well with epoxy, to prevent rust.
it was a dirty job. but it's done, and that was 10 years ago.
