Hot tub (small) Keith K 2-24-05
OK folks: Has anyone ever tried to put a small hot tub in a under storage bay of a coach. For particulars, I am picking up my 4905 soon, and am thinking of doing this. It would not have water in it while traveling, just when sitting.

Keith, I know of a bus in Ohio with a hot tub in the rear over the axle. They go to car shows and charge admission to see it. Any thing is possible, does'nt sound too far fetched to me. What would you do, put a trap door in the floor?

Hi Paul, the idea is to put it in one of the storage bays, on some sort of slide out. This way it can be under a side canopy also. Slide it out, fill it up, heat er up and enjoy! The sliders can't be to much trouble to design or build and I can do that, but I was hoping some one had done it already just to confirm that it can be done. Will not have water in it as we are sloshing down the road.....

Kieth,
Lower bays are used for hauling golf carts and motorcycles why not a hot tub?
Never heard of one on a slide out, why not though? One company offers a deck on a slide out.

I have a 72 passenger skoolie that has an 8 person jacuzzi inside. it holds 400 gallons. I drive with the jacuzzi half full and put the other 200 gallons into holding tanks while drivig. it takes only a couple minutes to fill the jacuzzi back up. The water is heated very efficiently using engine coolant.

e-mail me if you want any other info

Thanks Jason, Paul. That idea of a "deck" also is brilliant. Now. how to do both! deck behind entrance door, hot tub on slide out behind. This is going someplace! Keith
