Bus Conversion versus Truck Conversion questions. Fred 12-14-04
I've seen the truck conversions on TruckConversion.net

Wondering if anyone can comment of the pros and cons of a bus conversion like an MCI to a truck conversion in so far as cost, interior space use, maintenance costs, towing capacity, maximum weight capacity...if you were to compare rigs valued at $25-75k.

Does a bus show high or low ratings when compared to the truck conversions?

Please add anything you think might be helpful.

Thankou

The main advantage of having a truck conversion versus a bus conversion is maintenance and/or road repairs. Heavey truck shops are everywhere on the road and parts are reletively easy to get. Bus repairs can takes days even weeks.

I have built several MCI Bus conversions!

Then I found a company on the web that created a quailty truck coach. Cowboy Cadillac built my first truck conversion. It's been very dependable compared to the MCI Bus! They obtained my financing thru RvTruckloans.com. I am now on my second truck motorhome! This one has a garage! I love it!

Fred-check out Kingsley coach. They will build the shell on the truck of your choice and either have them finish the whole thing or have them do just the shell and you finish it! Sounds like the next project I'm going to do. Good Luck, TomC

Fred,

When looking at the Truck MotorHomes look at PowerHoused Coach. If You like the Trailer Trailer Quality of The Kingsley Coach Give them a call. Other Builders are Showhauler & NRC Conversion. They Build a much higher quality shell then both Kingsley And PowerHome Coaches. But suffer again with travel trailer interior parts!

The biggest problem on these rigs is financing. We used RVTRUCKLOANS.com. We got graet servace and low rates!

Bill
