|GM 4106 new engine/trans refit||Dean B rassfield||11-6-04|
|What is the most powerful new engine and automatic transmission combo refit that can be performed on a 4106? Also, after the new engine and transmission replacement, how difficult will it be to keep a nice 4106 supplied with new or rebuilt parts to keep it performing safely and reliably? Thanks.|

|There is a 4106 in MN with a 475HP 8V92TA, but still has the standard transmission as there is no Automatic that will take the power.|
If Money in no object you can buy a new 6 speed V-drive ZF transmission and match it to a ISC 350HP Cummins. The Cummins can be hot rodded to over $500HP.
