GM 4106 new engine/trans refit Dean B rassfield 11-6-04  
What is the most powerful new engine and automatic transmission combo refit that can be performed on a 4106? Also, after the new engine and transmission replacement, how difficult will it be to keep a nice 4106 supplied with new or rebuilt parts to keep it performing safely and reliably? Thanks.

There is a 4106 in MN with a 475HP 8V92TA, but still has the standard transmission as there is no Automatic that will take the power.

If Money in no object you can buy a new 6 speed V-drive ZF transmission and match it to a ISC 350HP Cummins. The Cummins can be hot rodded to over $500HP.

I have a 87 jeep wrangler with tpi 350 gm 700r4 i have a 383 stroker tpi 400 HP 460 tq that will go in it this spring i need a heavy duty auto trans thanks Bruce
