REAR BRAKE LOCKED	DON	5-5-04
1976 MCI 8 WITH ONE REAR BRAKE LOCKED UP. HAVE NOT SEEN A BRAKE SYSTEM LIKE THIS BEFORE. 3 AIR LINES GOING TO THE BRAKE CAN AND NO PLACE TO CAGE THEM. HELP!

It should not be a air problem hit the drum with a hamer the shoe is jest stuck to the drum if this does not work dack the slack ajesteroff

Bus brakes are diff. than truck brakes. There is a wedge lock with rollers that holds the brake on. It should be disassembled and cleaned and greased. If you step on the break real hard after you release the parking brake, it may release. (or it will get stuck even harder)

Had the same problem with my MCI 9. How can i release the Brake ?

I have a rear brake locked on my 4104. Have hit it with a hammer and all. I am taking it apart but haven't figured out how to pull the brake drum off. I have removed the five bolts but it does't slide off the lug bolts. I will try heat. Any other suggestions.
