Re: 1987 prevost LE MIRAGE XL Ray Land Fabulous Coach Lines 3-14-05
ALOT! Really depends on what condition the coach is in, how well it has been maintained and handled. I have bought coaches that cost more the coach it self in repairs, and coaches that had very little problems.

Run away....

OLD buses are a pain in the ass.

I've got a 1988. I bought it a year ago and it ran for a year........I drove about 10,000 miles. Last month I had to rebuild the engine and put in a remanufactured transmission. IT COST ME $17,000........and the transmission isn't working right now. I'm having to battle with the manufacturer to get them to accept responsibility for a bum job.....

You'll spend $100,000 plus on an old bus.....weather you buy it for that price or you spend it in maintenance.

Buy something newer than 1990 WITH MAINT RECORDS.

You want the 60 Series Detroit if you're going to go with the Prevost. If you can get a CAT or a CUMMINS engine even better.
