I have seen 7's in better shape than some 9's and the 7's were priced much less than the 9's.
The 9's have larger underfloor compartments and a flat floor. The 7's and 8's have higher headroom.
Since the buses are virtually indentical under the skin, any mechanical changes the newer buses have can be adapted to the older buses. And the best part is MCI parts usually has all of the parts necessary to do the updates.

Under the skin, it is not totally the same, the MC9 has a lot more SS than earlier models. Read so in the above addy.

In reading emails on busnuts on line, the usual saying is to look carefully and spend as much as possible on the coach, in the long run it will be cheaper.
