Towing 1997 Toyota Tacoma	Ron Neu	1-13-03
I tow a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4WD with manual hubs. I was told that the odometer would not advance when the truck ignition was in the accessory position. This is not true. Can anyone help me with this? I added 11,000 miles because of this misinformation.

I have a 25' Winnie. Just bought a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4wd; manual tranny= 4banger. What do I need to tow the Tacoma? Thank You- bp

Ron, Just bought a Tacoma and I'm wondering how to tow it, myself. Does everything else work ok? I wonder if you disconnected the battery if the odometer would quit advancing? Mark

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A 2004 TACOMA 4 WHEEL DRIVE AUTOMATIC. I HAVE SEEN OTHERS BEING TOED BEHIND MOTORHOMES, BUT THE OWNERS MANUEL SAYS DO NOT TOW THIS VEHICLE. WHAT GIVES, SO I CAN TOE THIS VEHICLE---ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.JAMES

Everybody but toyota says i can tow my 4wd 5 speed manual xmisson 97 tacoma. whats the deal?
