Wanted Kent Cortez Gregg Bambo 10-18-09
I am interested in buying a 1970 or later Kent Cortez motorhome. If you have one for sale in good driveable mechanical and interior condition, email me with discription and photos. Please state your location and price. Thanks, Gregg
Re: Wanted Kent Cortez John 3-20-10
Hi Gregg: I picked up my '76 Kent Cortez in 2003 in San Jose in 2003. The previous owners had poured a lot of money into it, but were forced to sell while under financial duress. It had an original 78,000 miles on it, and I put on an additional 6,500.
On my last trip around Vancouver Island in the summer of 2006, the engine started to cut-out intermittently. It seemed to rectify itself and I crossed by ferry to the mainland before it cut-out again, and this time I could not restart. Since it was only a few miles from my parents home, I had it towed and parked it their carport in Point Roberts, WA. I had a mobile mechanic look at it. He guessed that the problem was caused by an electrical short of some type, but could not trace its' origin. Life took over and the Cortez has sat there ever since. If you are interested to know more, email & I'll get back to you. Or cal six zero four 725-8243 (Vancouver, BC, Canada, home to the 2010 Winter Olympics)
